Dr. Wendy Ugolini (University of Edinburgh) will discuss UK immigration policy and the treatment of migrant groups 1905-45 with Anna Chiappa (Canada) who continues the morning presentation to further consider the impact of the sinking of the Arandora Star. Ron McQuaid (Napier University) and Ignazio Cabras (University of York), who will illustrate the phenomenon of labour-related migration from Scotland after WWII and in particular on secondary migration by immigrants already settled in Scotland. Followed by Q+A and discussion.
