Document Scotland Salon

Thursday, 7 February 2019
Document Scotland Salon

The centrepiece of the evening will revolve around Document Scotland’s current work entitled A Contested Land.

A Contested Land examines the complex relationship between Scotland’s people, history and landscape through the work of four photographers. The contrasting series of works by the collective known as Document Scotland, will be exhibited at the Martin Parr Foundation for the first time before it is shown at venues in Perth, Dunoon and Inverness during 2019. The exhibition in Bristol has been curated by Martin Parr and each of the projects feature new and previously unpublished work by the collective.

The Document Scotland Salon will be hosted by members of Document Scotland who will show their work on a large screen. Each photographer will talk for around 10 minutes and then take questions for around five minutes.

Document Scotland have also invited fellow Scottish photographers Arpita Shah and Margaret Mitchell to present and talk about their work.
