Crisis photography group
Stills and Crisis have developed a relationship over the past two years that has seen members of the Crisis Photography Group come into Stills to participate in various activities.
Whether it was a demonstration in the darkroom or a discussion about photography inspired by the books found in our library, it has been fun exploring different activities based around photography.
During the summer artist and tutor Craig Mclean developed a darkroom course that taught the participants how to make traditional prints using Stills' darkrooms, and it is with great pleasure that we are showcasing some of these images in an exhibition Skylight Camera, 9 November - 16 November 2013.
Crisis Skylight Edinburgh works with single people who are homeless and vulnerably housed. They offer structured 12-week courses, taster sessions and one-to-one support to help people learn, develop skills and improve their confidence. The overall aim of their work is to support individuals in their journey out of homelessness and towards independence.
