Twenty Six: A Stills School Exhibition
21 March – 11 April 2026
Join us for our opening celebration on Friday 20 March, 5–7pm.

Twenty Six showcases the photographic explorations of students who took part in the Stills School programme in 2025. Emphasising play and experimentation, these emerging artists present works in development that reflect a period of creative discovery. By carving out time to explore their surroundings, students have created visual responses to the connections, curiosities, and landscapes that shape their worlds.
All Stills School students participated in the eight-week introductory course, Contact, with some continuing their studies through the fifteen-week Academy programme. During their time at Stills, students developed technical skills across both the darkroom and digital suite, experimenting with a range of photographic genres. The enduring appeal of the darkroom is evident, with many embracing the slower pace of analogue practice.
Stills School champions inclusivity and accessibility, recognising that creative exploration is strengthened through the sharing of diverse experiences. Our skilled tutors — Zoe Hamill, Morwenna Kearsley, and Joseph Wilson — support students in unlocking their creative potential. We are delighted to include work by the tutors in this exhibition, reflecting a shared learning environment in which tutors and students inspire one another.
