Jillian Edelstein – Among People

Stills presents the first major survey exhibition of internationally renowned photographer Jillian Edelstein, one of the most compelling photographic voices of the past four decades, curated by Tracy Marshall-Grant.
Born in South Africa and now based in London, Edelstein has spent more than forty years documenting people, communities and defining moments of contemporary history. Bringing together work spanning her remarkable career, Among People reveals her distinctive ability to capture both everyday lives and pivotal moments with empathy and insight. Presented during the Edinburgh Festival, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth and humanity of Edelstein’s photography.
Among People is part of Edinburgh Art Festival 2026, the UK’s largest annual festival of visual art. EAF26 runs 14 – 30 August.
