Fresh Focus

Fresh Focus is a community for graduate photographers where they can seek peer criticism and support for their creative endeavours. The aim of the group is simple – to bring fresh practitioners together in a focused and supportive environment with the intention of fuelling critical engagement, promoting good working practices and connecting them to the wider photographic community.

The group meets twice a month at Stills (one weekday evening and one weekend) for a critique of work in development. Stills also supports the group to develop a programme of talks, critiques with guest speakers, pop-up exhibitions and participation in a range of events.

You should consider joining if you are:
— In the early stages of your photographic career.
— Making concept-driven thematic bodies of work.
— Familiar with providing and receive critical feedback on such work.
— Motivated to attend two critiques each month with new work to show.
— Driven to develop your professional practice.

Membership

Membership is for three years from the date of joining and members are expected to attend at least one critique meet-up per month to maintain their place in the group.
