John Duncan was born in Belfast in 1968 and studied HND Documentary Photography at Newport in Wales and Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art. Recent exhibitions include: Bonfires and then Beacons, at the Helsinki Photography Biennial; Observers: Photographers of the British Scene from the 1930s to Now, at the Galeria de Arte SESI Sao Paolo and Loaded Landscapes at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago.
