For Ever Amber is published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name at Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne (27 June—19 September 2015). Both the book and the development of the exhibition were supported by the Heerriate lottery Fund and Arts Council England. The title was drawn from an inscription by Henri Cartier-Bresson on a photograph os Jean Renoir, which he gave to Amber in 1978.
