Stills’ tutors are experienced professionals from a variety of fields of photography, digital media and lens based arts. Our courses include all materials in the price so there are no hidden costs — just great opportunities to learn.
All sessions below will be held in-house at Stills. We are limiting class sizes to ensure social distancing and have thorough procedures in place for cleaning and minimising the spread of COVID-19.

This course will introduce you to the large format 5×4 view camera using our range of Intrepid MK3 cameras. By the end of the day, you will have an understanding of loading and using a view camera, and shooting large format paper negatives
Liquid Silver: Paper, Objects and Dry Plate
12 & 19 June 2021 Saturdays, 11.00 – 17.00
This course will introduce you to the magic (and basics) of hand applied silver gelatin. You will learn to use light sensitive liquid emulsion that can be applied to different surfaces and exposed to produce a photographic image.
This short course is geared towards both beginners and intermediate users of Adobe Photoshop who want a confidence-building overview of the programme and a methodical and logical approach to the vast array of tools it offers.

B&W Darkroom Printing 2 (Intermediate)

A perfect follow-on course for those who have already completed an introductory darkroom printing course.
Stills will reopen on Tuesday 18th May and we look forward to welcoming you all. We will reopen with safety measures in place and will continue to follow the latest government advice and guidelines.
