Learn how to tell a compelling story via photographs and gain the tools for conceiving of and crafting your own projects. Covering a broad range of themes, including subject interaction, ethical dimensions, natural light usage and composition, you will pick up pointers on how to find ideas, develop your vision, and self-edit.
Liquid Silver: Paper, Objects and Dry Plate
25 & 26 November 2023
Saturday & Sunday, 11am-5pm
This course will introduce you to the magic (and basics) of hand applied silver gelatin. You will learn to use light sensitive liquid emulsion that can be applied to different surfaces and exposed to produce a photographic image.
Project Day: Scanning and Editing

This course will equip you with the skills to digitally archive your collection of negatives and prints. Taking you through the scanning process, you will be shown how to edit, restore and export files ready for digital printing as well as for sharing online!

Join us for this special weekend Masterclass with renowned narrative landscape photographer, John Davies. Focussing on Davies’ use of black and white, this practical workshop will demonstrate methods of how to produce high quality B&W prints and also to engage in discussions about communicating ideas through photography.
